Enjoyed the instrument and the score but more intrigued by the shoes and socks. Does she own the violin or is she just walking by? Second time around I’m not sure that it’s a violin, perhaps a cello?
Hi Peter. It’s a cello, she’s a poet, and she’s about to listen to another poet play the cello, so I think you could make a pretty good guess at who the cellist is 🙂
I remember this occasion!
Care to enlighten the rest of us? 🙂
Glen: the launch of Inkerman & Blunt’s Love Poems anthology 🙂
I’m sure you do… you were somewhere to the left of the shoe 🙂
I can only hope that the rest of bachfancier65’s outfit was as eye-catching as the shoe and the stocking….
Glen, the shoe and sock belonged to someone else, though there was sartorial elegance all around. I was actually moved to create a little photo-essay called ‘Shoes of the Poets’ (who knew poets had such great shoes?) 🙂
A wonderful photo, Amanda, and the Moon was amazing around the 16th June (13th actually). Very special month for my family! Love the shoe, too!
Thank you, Rose 🙂 And you’re so right about looking up, too—that honey moon was spectacular!
